Video on Radio Free Peterborough?

A recent upload to YouTube is the previously unseen music video for a rare recording of The Silver Hearts at the Gordon Best Theatre - waay back... a searing instrumental called Harry Tracy (Wyatt Burton's guitar playing is outstanding) - I called the film Hearts on Fire. There are so many great movies being made in Peterborough now. Soon we'll need Video Free Peterborough...

The stickiest of fingers and the Webers bros.

Hi Peterborough people and beyond!

Josh Fewings here, in Thunder Bay. The sun is shining, the Sleeping Giant is sleeping, and the Weber Bros. are playing tonight at the once famed Apollo.

I must report my first trip to the Royalton, a site heralded as the tavern in which Neil Young penned Sugar Mountain. You know what, I could see it. There is something about the reflection of the dusty neon signs off of the pickled egg jar that gives it away.

RFP now syndicating Ourtrent.com

The administration may not like it, but tough patootie.

We'd like to tip our dirty baseball cap to the crew over at http://ourtrent.com for fighting the good fight. We'll be automatically publishing any new articles that come up on ourtrent in our news section.

Attention Peterborough Musicians: SOCAN probably owes you money

Here's a list of all the tracks that were reported to SOCAN this year for Trent Radio - look for your name in the list (often more than once!) and go pester SOCAN for your nickles. They seem to like paperwork - they certainly create enough of it - so get on the phone and demand your cash.

Here's the (very very long) list:

OUT OF BOUNDS

Peterborough New Dance presents Out of Bounds
4 dances, 2 women, 1 great show.

Two compelling dancers, Nova Bhattacharya and Jenn Goodwin, combine their extreme differences and explosive energies in Out of Bounds. The program presents four pieces including two stunning new duets:
· The End created by Dana Gingras, co-founder of The Holy Body Tattoo
· Gold Moon from Tokyo's modern dance doyenne Mika Kurosawa
· The Falling, Goodwin's 2004 solo
· Calm Abiding, this year's hit from The Canada Dance Festival, a powerful and potent new solo created for Bhattacharya by Montreal's José Navas
