My radio show consists of playing vintage vinyl with plenty of style, politics and sex appeal. I play a kaleidoscope of music ranging from folk, blues, ska, punk, rock and roll, bluegrass, motown, jazz and more. It brings me great pleasure to pick up music from local folk and blues festivals across the country and share it with friends during special occasions. Brian’s music is rooted in the folk, pop and soul traditions of his heroes. He often draws comparisons to artists such as James Taylor, Cat Stevens, Bruce Cockburn and Stevie Wonder.

In January 2006 Brian will release his second cd of original material entitled “Let The Darkness Go”.

I have been listening to CBC 2 Radio lately, offering a lot of great local and Canadian music that I enjoy but it lacks cultural diversity and counter cultural music that artfully rebels. I am here in Vancouver, British Columbia for a while on Commercial Drive and learning to enjoy the mountains, ocean, and beautiful Autumn without snow. I would have liked to go to Neil Young last night but I guess it was not meant to be. I do look forward to going to the Yale Hotel and dancing to the blues and checking out the Brickhouse band tomorrow night with Billy Dixon.

I am feeling inspired to blog today because it is intense times since that it is both elections in Canada and USA and it is the 21st century of complex issues. The most intense issue for many is the the market crash in our global economic system that is deeply flawed for many, many reasons. I perceive that a lot of citizens do not understand the issues very much because of the lack of education since it costs so much money to get. It took me a lot of personal sacrifice to get my education both emotionally, spiritually and financially.

I am sitting down to a write a feminsit, cognitive, social archeological theorical based book review of Michael Coes's "Maya" within a American Antiquity style and I am going crazy!!!!! I had a wonderful halloween with family and friends and I hope that anyone out there reading this remembers to relax, dance, go to some good live music and theatre while its availble, and to remember that my radio show "Naked Angel Virgin Vinyl" is coming up this Thursday afternoon at 1:00 (next week).
