curtis_with_mandolaser_norm.jpg

Just in time for, um, the middle of February ... RFP presents our latest feature arist: Curtis Drieger.

We've also added 4 full CeeDee's recordings (47 tracks!) to our free music section. As usual, you have to be logged in to get at the free mp3's. You can listen to them without logging in though - you just can't download them.

As with all of our feature artists, there's a full discography feature audio stream and a nice little writeup by long time friend of RFP Brian Sanderson.

Go check it out!

timekill post boxing day

hey kids. just your friendly neighbourhood music archivist here, bored to the teeth and a little hopped up on coffee and nondenominational candy of joy.
i work for trent radio - i get to see all the pretty new cds and give them pretty new labels and stamp them with the seal of our approval. and then i get to put them all nice and neat on the computer. loverly, yes? yes.
in other news, i lost my beautiful orange and white tabby, razzy, over reading week, and since then, i've been without animal friends. if anyone hears of any "free to a good home" animals of any sort, do let me know.
peace

Video on Radio Free Peterborough?

A recent upload to YouTube is the previously unseen music video for a rare recording of The Silver Hearts at the Gordon Best Theatre - waay back... a searing instrumental called Harry Tracy (Wyatt Burton's guitar playing is outstanding) - I called the film Hearts on Fire. There are so many great movies being made in Peterborough now. Soon we'll need Video Free Peterborough...

The stickiest of fingers and the Webers bros.

Hi Peterborough people and beyond!

Josh Fewings here, in Thunder Bay. The sun is shining, the Sleeping Giant is sleeping, and the Weber Bros. are playing tonight at the once famed Apollo.

I must report my first trip to the Royalton, a site heralded as the tavern in which Neil Young penned Sugar Mountain. You know what, I could see it. There is something about the reflection of the dusty neon signs off of the pickled egg jar that gives it away.

The administration may not like it, but tough patootie.

We'd like to tip our dirty baseball cap to the crew over at http://ourtrent.com for fighting the good fight. We'll be automatically publishing any new articles that come up on ourtrent in our news section.
